Susan Kaplan is a 1996 graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she was a member of the Law Review. She interned for the Honorable Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum, United States District Judge, Southern District for New York; the District Attorney's Office, New York, New York; and the District Attorney's Office (Homicide Unit), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Susan Kaplan was an associate at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP and practiced litigation at Baden Kramer Huffman & Brodsky P.C. before serving as of counsel to a number of New York City's premier law offices and starting her own practice.
Susan Kaplan holds a Ph.D. in English Literature, has published widely, and has won awards from the Academy of American Poets and the Poetry Society of America. She taught at Cambridge University, Cambridge, United Kingdom, and the Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Virginia, where she was the founder and director of the college's honors program.
